With or without religion there is still a fear that goes through us. That fear that causes a cold adrenaline rush though our veins. The rush you get from disturbing a bee hive knowing you might get stung. The crow on a barbed wired fence is the fear of the unknown and desolate spaces in our lives that can bring us much pain if we continue to search out those spaces. The fear of venturing into a risk that might bring forth rewards. Even with religion ,The fear of what are others going to thing of me. For all this you need a BACKBONE.
No Super Hero
acrylic on canvas
30" x 40"
$1000.

This is the most asked about of all my pieces. Its been called "the tree of life", "scale of life" and "the fishing line in tree". This piece claims, that there is no longer a desire to help your fellow man. Everyone is out for themselves. If there was such a thing as "super heros" in this day and age, then they too would hang up their capes and lookout for "numero uno". There is no longer "a village to raise a child". So tell your children to hang up their childhood ambitions to grow up to be a super hero. No one is content with their status quo. Were all searching for prosperity (fish) and to have more than "the jones' ". Instead of graving a hold of your responsibilities and looking up to where life really comes from.(look at life atop the tree).
